A winery to watch on the island of Crete, it is situated in the area of Dafnes, just south of the capital city of Herakleion. The family traces its winemaking tradition back to 1930, but it wasn’t until 1991 that the modern area begun under owner Nikos Douloufakis. The winery excels with the local varietals such as Vidiano and Liatiko, as well as the traditional French grapes. Wines are made in a modern style, with depth and precision, yet there is always a sense of place. Many of them have received international accolades, as well as high ratings.
