One of the oldest wineries on the island of Santorini, it was established in 1895. It is associated closely, with the Assyrtiko grape, the islands most famous white grape. From fresh and fruity versions, to oak aged, mineral driven whites, Gavalas Winery produces an impressive array of wines. In addition, the winery produces a fine range of rose and red wines, all based on indigenous grapes.
Furthermore, its aged desert wine, Vinsanto, is legendary.
