Economou (Oikonomou) Sitia Red
A very rare wine of distinction, from the island of Crete. A blend of the indigenous Liatiko and Mandilaria (all organic farming here, from 80-90 yr old ungrafted vines), it is aged in French Oak for 36 months, and then put away for further bottle aging (this is a current release!). Full of red fruit, vibrant acidity and silky tannins, this is a Pinot Noir lovers dream! Sip it alone, or enjoy with mature soft cheeses and roast duck. Only a few cases are sent over to the US, per year, so plan accordingly. ABV 13.5%
THIS WINE IS SO RARE AND SO PRIZED, we can not get quantities necessary to keep them on the shelf. However, please email your interest at email@example.com and we will try and track some down for you, or hold them for you when we do get access to some!
